Jeff Wechsler leads Pakalōlō Capital with a strategic approach to innovation and investment in the cannabis industry.
With more than two decades of experience in Alternative Investments, Venture Capital, and Operational Strategy, he has built his career around identifying high-impact opportunities at the intersection of emerging markets and transformative technologies.
A defining chapter of Jeff's career in cannabis was his role as a director, consultant, and early investor with Privateer Holdings, the first private equity firm dedicated to the legal cannabis industry.
Privateer Holdings significantly shaped the global cannabis market by building, funding, and scaling pioneering brands, including Leafly, Tilray, and Marley Natural. Jeff’s strategic insight and extensive network were instrumental in securing the sector’s first institutional investment, led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, further legitimizing cannabis as a scalable and investable industry.
Previously, Jeff served as Chief Investment Officer
at Neutrino Corp, a single-family office managing a global portfolio across real estate, private equity, and venture capital. He also spent a decade at Oppenheimer Asset Management where he worked as a Registered Investment Advisor.
At Pakalōlō Capital, Jeff is focused on building a dynamic ecosystem of cannabis technologies and strategic global partnerships. His vision is to drive innovation, empower high-impact brands, and shape the future of cannabis through scalable, science-driven solutions.
